Happy Friday MCS Community!

Halloween Reminder

In anticipation of a few more exciting October days, please remember Montessori education is based on a foundation of reality, and as we embrace and celebrate ALL traditions and beliefs, we do not focus on any one on campus during school. Therefore, we ask that costumes & candy be saved for activities & family traditions enjoyed outside of school.

Speaking of costumes & candy – if your family does partake in Halloween festivities, here are a few options for neighborhoods with good Halloween candy collecting for the kiddos on the 31st around dusk:

  • Staples Ave behind Grace Lutheran Church
  • Northside Dr & surrounding streets behind Keys Auto North
  • Key Haven
  • Coldwell Banker Parking Lot on White Street

We are able to do what we do because of gestures like this!

Weekly Miracle Makers
Oftentimes it feels like our school is powered by Miracles. Miracles large and small happen each week to pull off all that we do here. Those miracles appear in acts of love and kindness and service by parents, children, staff, alumni, community members, and more, and each week we highlight a special one here.

This week’s Miracle Maker is Tayno Mitova, Emmy’s Dad and our self-proclaimed Gardening Guru! Tanyo has started taking the Lower Elementary students to the Community Garden at the Marc House and is exposing our children to growing food. Tanyo is always a pillar of knowledge and perspective for our community, and we are grateful he lends his heart to us in all of his special ways!
