Board of Trustees
The Montessori Children’s School is a non-profit 501(c)(3), tax-exempt Florida educational corporation. It is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board is made up of present and alumni parents, community members, and friends of the school.
The Board of Trustees:
- establishes the school’s institutional mission and core values;
- establishes policies under which the school will operate;
- appoints educational leaders to run the school on a day-to-day basis;
- provides fiscal oversight; and
- plans for the school’s future.
The actual process of exploring issues and reaching a consensus tends to occur at the committee level, at our monthly Community Meetings, or at our three Corporation (Board and Parent) meetings.
