Happy Friday MCS Community!
A deep, soulful thank you to everyone who participated in last week’s major fundraising efforts. Between the Supper Club event & Silent Auction we raised over $30,000 for our Scholarship Fund. This would not be possible without every piece of effort & energy put forth by our families – whether that’s attending the Supper Club event, purchasing a Silent Auction item, soliciting a Silent Auction item from a local business or donating one yourself, even sharing our events on your social media – it takes every little bit, and this community pulled together beautifully to raise important funds that will do a lot of good for the families who need it next year. Thank you.

Teacher Appreciation Week
You should have received an email earlier this week from Sophie Hamilton regarding Teacher Appreciation Week. If you did not, please speak with Ms Alex if you’d like to participate in celebrating our Teachers next week.
Cultural Immersion Art Show
Next Friday evening our Campus transforms into an art gallery! Please plan to join us at 5:30PM with the whole family for an evening touring our classrooms to view all of the hard work prepared by our students in their cultural curriculum and art lessons. Live auction of each classroom’s piece starts at 6:15PM. This is a very special evening and we look forward to seeing everyone there!
Our third and final Corporation meeting of the year will be Thursday, May 22nd at 6PM here on campus. We will review updates on our new campus and next year’s school calendar. Attendance counts as a Work/Pay hour and we do offer childcare.
Weekly Miracle Makers
Oftentimes it feels like our school is powered by Miracles. Miracles large and small happen each week to pull off all that we do here. Those miracles appear in acts of love and kindness and service by parents, children, staff, alumni, community members, and more, and each week we highlight a special one here.
This week’s Miracle Maker is Sophie Hamilton, who has taken the lead in organizing Teacher Appreciation Week efforts on behalf of our parent community. If you do not know Sophie, she is a Mom of 3 young children, as well as a working Doula for pregnant mothers in our community (most of us here know how desperately this community needs this type of support.) Despite being incredibly busy herself, Sophie is always the first to volunteer or chip in when asked, and the Hamilton family is a staple at all of our events. It is because of people like Sophie that our community continues to thrive.
