Open House
Once a year we open up our campus gates to the community to tour our classrooms and get to know our staff. If you have any friends or contacts in the community you think would like a chance to walk through the school please extend the invitation to visit us Saturday, April 5th from 9AM-11AM. All classrooms will be open and Lead Guides will be on campus to meet and answer questions.
Primary Follow the Child
Primary Lead Guides have emailed their classroom parents about tomorrow’s Follow the Child event. If you have not already booked your 9 or 10AM slot, or have questions about this event, please contact your Primary Lead Guide (Ms. Desiree or Ms. Sally) or respond to this email and we will get you in touch before tomorrow morning.
Weekly Miracle Makers
Oftentimes it feels like our school is powered by Miracles. Miracles large and small happen each week to pull off all that we do here. Those miracles appear in acts of love and kindness and service by parents, children, staff, alumni, community members, and more, and each week we highlight a special one here.
This week’s Miracle Maker is Ms. Lily. Ms. Lily started with us last summer and has quickly shown that she is a Montessorian at heart. She currently works as our Toddler Floater and Lead Toddler Aftercare Guide. She is forever kind, patient and engaging with each and every child she interacts with. She is the first to offer help and often last to leave for the day. She brings to our campus a ray of light and her passion for nature; frequently sharing fun facts about all the birds, butterflies, and plants on our grounds. We are so lucky she found us and to have her as part of our community. We love you Ms. Lily! We could not do what we do without you!
Parenting Hack of the Week
Having trouble getting your kids to start the bedtime routine with the sunset pushing later and later?
- Try starting your time at home with shower or bath time. Instead of waiting to start shower or bath time until the sun goes down, or close to bedtime, try suggesting a shower or hopping in the bath as soon as you know you are home for the evening, and then getting right into cozy pajamas even before dinner. This can take some of the struggle out of the later in the evening push, and what a treat to be bathed and comfy for the evening.
- Need an extra incentive to get the kids in the bath/shower? Popsicles are the perfect bathtime snack, since they’ll be cleaned up right there and then, and can be made quite healthy at home or with the plethora of options available in stores now.
- Want to skip the food-related option? Ice cubes in a bucket make a very cool bathtime activity (pun intended.)
