Let’s Talk Supper Club!

We hope you will join us for our Annual Fundraiser – The Montessori Key West Supper Club on April 24 – tickets are available here!  Each ticket purchased counts for one hour of your Fundraising Work/Pay, just to attend a fun event 🙂  Our silent auction site is stacked and we are still accepting more donations for the next week.  Childcare for the kiddos available at our PJ Party, with a conch train to take you to and from school to the event at First Flight.  We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

The Impact on Technology in Schools

This may be preaching to the choir, but a major topic on the minds of many us is technology, particularly the major shift of technology as a primary learning tool in classrooms of young children.  We enjoyed this short video below of a speaker our team saw at the AMS Conference in Washington DC last month.  If you are interested in observing how our Elementary classrooms run without or with very limited technology we would love to have you in for an observation, which you can schedule with Ms. Alex in the front office.

Weekly Miracle Makers

Oftentimes it feels like our school is powered by Miracles.  Miracles large and small happen each week to pull off all that we do here.  Those miracles appear in acts of love and kindness and service by parents, children, staff, alumni, community members, and more, and each week we highlight a special one here.

This week’s Miracle Maker is Darwin Litmer, our 9 year old friend across the street on Varela, who has been raking and blowing and sweeping the leaves off our sidewalk every day to keep our passersby safe as the leaves fall from the Mahogany tree on the front lawn.  Thank you Darwin for taking great care of our community!
