Montessori Children’s School of Key West Weekly Newsletter – September 16, 2026

THANK YOU to everyone who chipped in to make our Annual Car Wash a huge success.  Over $1,000 was raised for our In-House Scholarship Fund, and another $700+ for our Upper Elementary & Middle School Programs at the Coffee Shop/Bake Sale.  Thank you to WeCycle & Evan Haskell for providing the Bike Tune-Up Station, a very cool new addition this year.  Thank you to the Koffie House, Baby’s Coffee, and Yolicious for the enormous donations of coffee and food.  Thank you to DJ Jimmy Jamz for providing the best vibes.  Thank you to our Upper Elementary & Middle School programs for organizing and staffing the event.  Thank you to our many parent volunteers.  We are already planning for next year 🥳

International Day of Peace CelebrationOn Monday, September 21st our Primary, Elementary, & Middle School Programs will take part in an Old Town March around Bayview Park, back to campus where we will celebrate International Day of Peace.  🌟 Families of all program levels: Please plan to bring a can of food to donate to a local food bank on this day. ☀️

Buy Your Shirts (Adults & Children)

Below is the link to Peace shirts for students and parents.  They come in a variety of styles and colors and you can choose your own!  They are the same as we’ve worn in past years so you can reuse what you have.  Order any color/style you would like for you and your children, though we may be cutting it close to wear next Monday.  PEACE DAY SHIRT If you did not get the Peace Day shirt feel free to wear a school shirt!  Available in the front office in a variety of colors.

Join the Walk!

Are you available to walk with us?  Parents of Primary, Elementary, and Middle School are invited to walk with us for the Peace March, and join us at Varela St campus for the ceremony.  If you are not able to join us and/or want to lend a hand in another way, we will need wagons to cart tired children back to campus after the event.

Spanish Lime Bake Sale – September 24 & 25

Here is a link to sign up to bake or help out at the Spanish Lime Bake Sale being held Thursday and Friday, 9/24 & 9/25, at dismissal and beyond.
All proceeds are used to purchase new materials for the Lower Elementary class and environment.  In the past we have been able to purchase materials like Stamp Games,  the Racks & Tubes, new maps, writing materials, books, to name a few.  We really appreciate your involvement either baking or helping out at the tables. It makes a world of difference in our little community.

We have two car seats in great condition free to a good home (pictured above.)  They are first come, first serve in the front office.


Dante is offering a fantastic morning fitness class for our parents, with a new time closer to drop off!  Try it out Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:20AM at Bayview Park!Montessori Girl Scouts!
