Here’s Your Wednesday News from Montessori Key West

Our White Street Campus Is Open!

On Monday, March 23 we officially opened our new White Street Satellite Campus, located at 1025 White Street, and held a full day of school for our 26 students Grades 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.  It was a momentous occasion, but actually felt very much like a peaceful, smooth day for our students due to the incredible amount of effort put into the transition by the leaders of our Upper Elementary & Middle Programs, Ms. Dawn & Ms. Kalei, as well as Ms. Amy’s tireless efforts to see the doors open before the end of the school year.  The reality of this dream is remarkable.  We encourage all families to pay us a visit and see what a special place our new second home has become.  See below Before & After pictures of the Upper Elementary room – you have to come see the whole building to appreciate it though 🙂

Weekly Miracle Makers

Oftentimes it feels like our school is powered by Miracles.  Miracles large and small happen each week to pull off all that we do here.  Those miracles appear in acts of love and kindness and service by parents, children, staff, alumni, community members, and more, and each week we highlight a special one here.

This week’s Miracle Maker is Micaela Elechko, mom of Rory, who organized and executed a fantastic fundraiser at the Green Parrot Bingo Night on Monday night, raising $2400 in just two hours for our school.  Micaela had the Bingo flow completely optimized and threw an amazing evening that was a total crowd pleaser, and we are so lucky to have her superpowers spent on us!!
