Happy Wednesday MCS Community!

Let’s talk about Step Up for Students Scholarships

Applications for Step Up for Students are live for the 26/27 School Year.  All students age 5 and above as of September 1, 2026 are eligible to apply for standard Private School scholarships.  Students age 3 and above as of September 1, 2026 who qualify for any of the Unique Abilities (UA) designations can also apply.  We recommend prioritizing submission of your application or re-application as soon as possible to be sure you are awarded the funds.  Once you receive your Award ID, please send it to office@montessorikeywest.com.  If you have any questions about Step Up funding please contact Ms. Alex in the office at 305-294-5302, or come chat in person.

Weekly Miracle Makers

Oftentimes it feels like our school is powered by Miracles.  Miracles large and small happen each week to pull off all that we do here.  Those miracles appear in acts of love and kindness and service by parents, children, staff, alumni, community members, and more, and each week we highlight a special one here.

This week’s Miracle Maker is Keely Kessler, the Recycling Coordinator for the City of Key West who also has launched and nurtured our Composting initiative on campus and recently has visited to read her favorite book, The Lorax, to our students of various programs.  We are so grateful for Keely’s work on our campus and love having her in our community.
