Happy Friday MCS Community!

A few opportunities for giving back, in the spirit of gratitude:

  • Don’t trash your candy wrappers! We are collecting candy wrappers (just the wrappers!) to be recycled sustainably through Terracycle.  Please send the candy wrappers with your child and they can give them to their teacher for collection any day!

  • During the week of Nov 18 – 22 we are collecting Publix or Winn Dixie gift cards for holiday gift baskets. Please consider purchasing a gift card for a needy family the next time you are shopping. No amount is too small. You can drop off in the front office.

  • We need 20 more course marshals for our upcoming 5K fundraiser!  Course marshals are the amazing folks along the racecourse wearing neon vests and cheering for/directing runners.  If you can volunteer Dec 8 from 7:30-9AM please sign up here: Montessori Children’s School: Montessori 5K Race & Kids Fun Runs – Volunteers

Weekly Miracle Makers

Oftentimes it feels like our school is powered by Miracles.  Miracles large and small happen each week to pull off all that we do here.  Those miracles appear in acts of love and kindness and service by parents, children, staff, alumni, community members, and more, and each week we highlight a special one here.

This week’s Miracle Makers are Truman & Teagan Quartararo, who sold the most candles for our candle fundraiser – a whopping 36 candles!  With a long line of entrepreneurs in their family, it is no surprise that these two brought such a strong showing to our fundraiser.  We want to thank Truman & Teagan, and Kristin and Tommy (Mom & Dad) for their dedication to our school and always putting their hearts into our school efforts, big and small.
