How You Can Participate in Our Largest Fundraising Effort of the Year
Over the next two weeks we will raise over half of our annual fundraising budget through our Supper Club Fundraiser at First Flight on Friday, April 24th, and the Online Silent Auction that will be live Tuesday, April 21 through Friday, April 24th. These are crucial Scholarship Funds that allow us to support access for a large number of students to our Authentic Montessori Education who could not otherwise afford it. We rely on every member of our Parent Community’s Participation for this effort to be successful. Here are the ways you can contribute & participate over the next 10 days:
Silent Auction!
- Distribute Flyers for Silent Auction Site, launching Tuesday, April 21st and live through Midnight Friday, April 24th. We have 4 days to sell over 200 items and need to get the word out! If you are willing to hang flyers in local businesses we need these efforts Tues-Thurs next week!
- Shop the Silent Auction
- Share the Silent Auction on our Social Media, Text to Friends & Family. Anyone can bid and buy the items and we have an incredible amount to choose from at all price points!
The Dinner!
- Attend! We hope you will join us for our Annual Fundraiser – The Montessori Key West Supper Club on April 24 – tickets are available here! Each ticket purchased counts for one hour of your Fundraising Work/Pay, just to attend a fun event 🙂 Childcare for the kiddos available at our PJ Party, with a conch train to take you to and from school to the event at First Flight. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Step Up Award IDs
Families receiving Step Up Funding for the 2026-2027 School Year (students ages 5 and above as of Sept 1, 2026, as well as students ages 3 and up who qualify with a Unique Ability): Applications are live but due soon, according to their website. Please prioritize submitting your application for Step Up Funding ASAP and once approved, send your Award ID to office@montessorikeywest.com.

Join us for a Bake Sale at the White Street Campus on Thursday, April 16th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM!
Here’s how you can help:
- Donate Baked Goods – We welcome any homemade treats such as cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, or any of your favorite recipes.
- Volunteer – We need helping hands to make this event run smoothly! This is also a wonderful opportunity to complete your volunteer hours.
As an added bonus, our school will also be participating in the Walk on White Street that evening, making it a fun night for the whole community!

This year we have a free CONCH TRAIN to transport you from school to the venue & back to help with parking and give you a ride in style!!

Teacher Appreciation Week
It’s the time of year to show our gratitude for our Lead Guides & Assistants! May 4-8 is Teacher Appreciation Week. We are looking for 5-6 parents to lead this effort this year. Please respond to this email or text Ms Alex at 305-294-5302 if you are willing to take part in coordinating the parent organization of Teacher Appreciation Week.
Weekly Miracle Makers
Oftentimes it feels like our school is powered by Miracles. Miracles large and small happen each week to pull off all that we do here. Those miracles appear in acts of love and kindness and service by parents, children, staff, alumni, community members, and more, and each week we highlight a special one here.
This week’s Miracle Maker is Tyler Rudisill, husband of Ms. Ashley Rudisill in Gumbo Limbo and Dad to 3 of our wonderful students. When is he not out at sea, Tyler is behind the scenes many afternoons voluntarily helping out with campus projects – whether that be moving heavy appliances around, hanging miscellaneous items, or any other handyman/designated staff husband job we are in need of that day.
