Thank you for your interest in Montessori Children's School

We enjoy meeting new families and talking about Montessori and what our school has to offer. Montessori Children’s School brings students (18 months through 14 years) together from a broad spectrum of ethnic, national, religious, and economic backgrounds. We welcome diversity and help our children broaden their perspective of the world through friendships based on mutual respect and understanding.

The Admissions Process:

Each new application to Montessori Children’s School is carefully considered to find the best match between student, family, and school.

The First Step

The admissions process begins with a request to tour and visit with a school representative. The tour highlights our programs, Montessori principles and practices, and addresses your questions.

Campus Tours

We love showing off our campus and classrooms. Please fill out an enquiry form so we can get your tour scheduled.

Should I Bring My Child?

Choosing the right school is a family decision. Bringing young children along when you first visit a school can confuse them and distract you. You will want to focus on the school’s attributes and what makes it unique.  Partnership relationships take time. If our school appeals to you, the following steps will be for you to complete an admission questionnaire, pay the admission fee, and share prior school records. Once we have student records and emergency contact information, we invite your student to spend time with us.

Ambassador Parents

Our families love Montessori Children’s School and are happy to share their experience with you. Some families have middle school age children who have been students since they were toddlers, other families have transferred to Montessori Children’s School for various reasons at different stages of development, and all are happy to answer any questions you may have. A list of contact information is available upon request.

Initial Conversations

In addition to touring our campus, many families will arrange one or more individual meetings with our staff to discuss the school and their children. Our goal is to help every prospective family make the best decision possible about their children’s long-term education before they apply.

Observing Classes at Work

Montessori classes are quite different from the traditionally structured classrooms experienced by many of us. We encourage interested parents to silently observe our classrooms at work.

We are here to help.

Parents who are first considering Montessori often have many questions. Just ask—we’re here to help. Our goal is not to “sell” parents like you on either Montessori or Montessori Children’s School of Key West as a school. Our mission is simply to help each family find the best educational program for their child.
