Dear Banyan Families,
“Education, therefore, of little ones is important, especially from three to six years of age, because this is the embryonic period for the formation of character and of society, (just as the period from birth to three is that for forming the mind, and the prenatal period that for forming the body.” -Dr. Maria Montessori(The Absorbent Mind, p. 221)
The month of April was a busy month for everyone at the school. The Banyans have been enthusiastically studying about South America and working on the projects for Cultural Immersion and Art show day. It is hard to believe it is almost the end of the school year. This newsletter includes the information for May and June. My sincere thanks to all the families that attended the Parent- Teacher conferences. We value your participation and time. We work together on behalf of the children.

Our classroom responsibility:
Throughout the school year, every classroom is responsible for setting up and breaking down events at the school. Now it is our Banyan families’ turn to help set up and break down the Kindergarten graduation and end of the Year Party on June 8. I will soon have a sign-up sheet with details outside the office; all the hours will go towards your work pay and fundraising hours.
Primary Playground renovation:
Our school is accepting donations as part of Primary playground fundraiser to add more green space and activities to the Primary playground. We would appreciate if your family can contribute towards it. Donations to the Primary playground may be applied to next year’s Work/Pay or Fundraising hours.
Thank you, one and all for giving us the opportunity to be part of your child’s life for this school year. We absorbed, learned, sprouted, worked and laughed together as a Banyan family!
