Dear Kapok Parents,
I hope that you are having a relaxing winter break and that you had a very Happy Holiday. I deeply appreciate all the gifts and thoughtful cards.
Although December was a short month our classroom was very productive. and hard at work. The students learned the social ethics of giving and receiving gifts, making and sending holiday cards, etc. A very special mailman visited us and explained to us the process of sending a letter(or card) through the mail.
My family and I are taking a short trip to Colorado. We will come back well rested and ready to get back into our routine and learning environment.
Remember that children might take a bit longer to “bounce back into routine”. Make the first week back to school an easy one for you and your child by :
– Getting to bed early
– Waking up early enough so you and your child have time to eat a healthy (not rushed) breakfast.
– Decide what clothes you are going to wear the night before.
– Give yourself enough time so you don’t have to rush yourself or your child.
We have many important dates in the upcoming weeks. Please review our school calendar.
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you my family will be relocating to Colorado for the next school year. The many years I have spent guiding your children have been some of the most rewarding of my life.
Your children were all a joy to teach and to be with. Their interest in the classroom made the days and years fly by. Their wisdom, their smiles and their unconditional love will remain with me forever. I must dry my tears now and embrace every moment of this year.
My wish of Love and Peace to you during this Holiday Season.
Happy 2018 !!!
Ms. Karina
