Robbi and Kim

Head of School, Kim Livingston has been with the Montessori Children’s School since 2001. She started off as the business manager for six years, left MCS and then was hired back as the Head of School in 2007. Kim has a B.S. degree in Marketing and holds a Florida Childcare Director’s Credential. She is currently taking Montessori courses to further her abilities as the Head of School. Kim has also served as a SAC board member at Sugarloaf School as the Vice-Chair for 2 years. She moved to Key West from St. Croix, USVI, with her family in 1997. Her daughter Jazmine is a graduate of Key West High School and is attending FKCC and her son Zackary is in high school. She has been married to her husband Dan since 1990 and they reside in Big Pine Key with their two dogs, cat and fruit trees! Kim loves being a part of the Montessori family and knows this is where she belongs. Her dedication to MCS is unwavering and she looks forward to being a part of MCS for years to come.

Business Manager, Roberta Harvey or Robbi, as she is known to her friends and colleagues, grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. After 23 years in Cleveland, Robbi moved to the Washington DC area to work for a Political Action Committee. In 1991 she accepted the position of Branch Administrator at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center's Climate and Radiation Branch, where she got hooked by Hurricanes! She moved to Key West in January of 1997. As the owner of a small accounting and bookkeeping service, with over 30 years of accounting experience, Robbi happily accepted the challenge of taking on the position of Business Manager of the school. Robbi has now taken over many of the functions that were previously contracted out, such as payroll, and has automated the billing system at the school. Robbi has one daughter Carly, a recent graduate of South Florida University, who currently lives in St. Petersburg, FL. Robbi and her best friend, Cody, a beautiful Golden Retriever, enjoy the beach and gardening in her off-time.
